THE CHRISTMAS INVASION, BBC1
The
script called for the arrival of the Sycorax ship to be accompanied
by every window in London being shattered. Whilst The Mill handled
the wide shots of the city and the iconic
'gherkin', we were given the
task of shattering the windows in one of the tower blocks on Rose
Tyler's estate.
Working at 1/6th
scale, six stories of the tower block were constructed, complete
with interior room and balcony dressing, satellite dishes and
Christmas decorations.
A total of 111 individual window panes were shattered
on each take. |
