With the full creature being handled by the digital effects team at Rushes, we were called on to provide a full size replica of the skull of a plesiosaur, with a detachable lower jaw.

Shots of the creature emerging from the Loch were achieved with a matte black mock up of the monster's head rigged to break the surface. This was then replaced with the 3D creature.

Early discussions also looked at the possibility of us constructing an animatronic baby plesiosaur, but these ideas never got any further than the design stage.
