In addition to the tsunami sequences, we also provided models of the interior of the volcano and of the ship that survived the disaster.

The volcano interior was achieved by letting backlit orange-tinted "lava" (mixed from food thickeners) flow through sculpted rock-textured channels.

The ship was mounted on a fourway gimbal against greenscreen, allowing digital effects facility Lola to composite it with ocean backplates.
