KRAKATOA - THE LAST DAYS

Krakatoa - The Last Days is, to date, the largest project handled by The Model Unit, providing a variety of effects sequences working alongside digital effects house Lola.

Producer Alan Eyres contracted us to show the effects of the tsunami on a Javanese village and a lighthouse, both integral to the story.

Although the exterior of the lighthouse was constructed at 1/12th scale, both the interior and the village huts were constructed at a larger 1/4 scale, in order to help with the issues inherent shooting with water.
